Islamic State releases video of children carrying out prisoner executions

One of the boys is identified as being British.

THE ISLAMIC STATE terrorist group has released a video showing five children shooting dead Kurdish prisoners.

The video is shot in the same style as the group’s other execution videos, but this one features five boys who appear to be aged between ten and 13 years old.

The boys are shown dressed in military-type clothing and holding guns as they stand behind five Kurdish prisoners in orange jumpsuits. One of the boys is identified as being British.

BBC reports one of the children, who speaks in the video in Arabic, promises more violence and warns that the battle against them has not yet begun.

The five boys then display their guns in the air before shooting dead the five Kurdish prisoners.

This is not the first time children have featured in Islamic State propaganda. In January, a five-year-old British boy dubbed ‘Jihadi Junior’ appeared in an ISIS video, shouting about killing non-believers.

The terrorist group has been increasingly using child soldiers, with a video which emerged earlier this year showing young boys being trained with guns.
