The Dubliner faced an icy atmosphere as she entered the main villa on the arm of Kavan.

Ireland's Charleen Murphy charms her way into extending Love Island stint in explosive episode

Casa Amor drew to a close last night with some dramatic consequences.

THE MOST DRAMATIC week on Love Island continued last night, and it had some good news for Irish fans.

Dubliner Charleen Murphy has extended her stint on the show after coming into the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell on Monday night’s show.

Even those who haven’t been following the show this year have probably heard about her dramatic entrance into the villa.

Irish prospects doubled with Charleen’s place secured and Galway GAA star Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald having been in the villa since the start.

Wednesday night’s episode was full of drama with Charleen at the centre as fellow islander Kavan Murphy chose to couple up with the influencer leaving his previous partner, 28-year-old Jasmine Muller, single.

It was the culmination of the most dramatic week of the season, Casa Amor, where established couples are tested as they’re separated from their partners and 12 new boys and girls are sent to tempt the islanders away from their partners.

They spend several days separated before a dramatic ‘re-coupling’, where all the main cast members have to decide whether they want to stick with their partner or couple up with one of the new bombshells.

New boys and girls who are not picked are sent home immediately.

Charleen pulled off an impressive feat in extending her time on the show. Though a lot of the boys tend to flirt with the Casa Amor girls each year, few actually decide to partner up with them.

However, she was helped by the fact that Kavan and Jasmine did not separate on good terms having their own Ross and Rachel moment and deciding to take ‘a break’ right as Casa Amor began.

He and Charleen had become inseparable during his time away from the main villa with it being revealed last night that he had decided to re-couple with the Irish star, saving her from being eliminated just days into her time on the show.

Though she is set to stay on the show for now, Charleen has already received some backlash after her main villa entrance.

Her new partner Kavan has been a fan favourite, but many online now are angry at his betrayal of Jasmine.

Fitzy stays loyal

The other Irish hopeful Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald had a very different journey in Casa Amor.

The 25-year-old footballer has been coupled up with 28-year-old Lola Deal since the beginning of the show. The two are ‘exclusive’ and even exchanged ‘I love yous’within two weeks.

While the majority of the boys in Casa Amor spent their time flirting with the new girls, Fitzy stayed loyal to Lola, even sleeping outside to avoid sharing a bed with one of the bombshells.

On Monday’s show the 25-year-old did land himself in some hot water when participating in a game of dares.

The challenge saw the two villas go head-to-head in a series of raunchy dares where points were awarded for their commitment and passion.

Though the main villa won overall, Fitzy earned a point for his dare which involved kissing and dancing on two of the Casa girls prompting some fans to say that he took it too far for someone in an exclusive couple.

This has caused some of the UK fans to turn on him which could be crucial given Irish fans still can’t vote for their favourites.

Lola also appears to be unpopular with some fans, having fallen into the bottom three girls in the last public vote.

Casa Amor shakes up the villa

The recoupling last night means the villa may be needing some extra beds as besides Charleen and Kavan, five other islanders decided to recouple with one of the Casa bombshells.

Previously partnered up Lorenzo and Yasmin and Aidan and Priya all decided to choose new partners.

One of the most dramatic moments of the night however came when Simba, who has been coupled up with Angelista for his entire time on the show, arrived back to the villa with one of Charleen’s fellow Casa girls, Mara.

Angelista joined Jasmine as the two single contestants in the villa.

With the heat now firmly on her and Kavan it’ll be an uphill battle for Charleen to win favour with the fans.

She’s secured her spot in the villa for now but the fallout from Kavan’s betrayal will surely be a major talking point in Thursday’s show.
