Man arrested in connection with the murder of Mark Carroll in Finglas last year

Mr Carroll was fatally assaulted at a residence on 9 June 2024.

A MAN HAS been arrested as part of the investigation of the murder of 34-year-old Mark Carroll in Finglas last year.

Mr Carroll was fatally assaulted at a residence on 9 June 2024. Earlier this year, an inquest determined that he had been stabbed, causing his death.

Last year, a suspect was believed to have fled the country to the UK. 

The man, aged in his 30s, is currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a Garda Station in the Dublin area.

Investigations are ongoing, a spokesperson said.
