Man (40s) dies after incident involving bicycle in Limerick city

The incident occurred shortly after 2pm.

A MAN IN his 40s has died following an incident involving a bicycle in Limerick city on Tuesday.

The incident happened on the Dublin Road, Mountshannon, Limerick city, shortly after 2pm.

A male cyclist left the scene and travelled to a domestic residence.

He received treatment from emergency services but was pronounced dead on Tuesday afternoon.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.

Road users who were travelling on the Dublin Road, Mountshannon, Limerick city, between 1.30pm and 2.10pm on Tuesday 26 May and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, are being asked to make this available to investigating gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
