Man (20s) dies in hospital after weekend e-scooter crash in Finglas

The man was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown after the crash, where he was later pronounced dead.

A MAN IN his 20s who was hospitalised in an e-scooter crash in Finglas yesterday evening has died.

He has been named by gardaí 21-year-old Jack Goss.

The incident happened at Cappagh Road in Finglas, Dublin 11 on Sunday.

Shortly after 5pm, the young man, who had been travelling on an e-scooter, was discovered on the road with serious injuries.

Jack Goss was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí are investigating the cause of the crash, and are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.

“Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling on the in the Cappagh Road area between Heathfield and Cappagh Hospital between 4.45pm and 5.05pm and may have camera footage are asked to make it available,” a garda spokesperson said.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”

Separately, a man and four teenagers have been hospitalised following a collision in Tuam, Co Galway this morning.
