Man (60s) dies in road crash in Co Tipperary

Gardaí and emergency services responded to the crash at 10:40am.

A MAN IN his 60s has died in a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Cahir, Co Tipperary. 

The incident occurred this morning on the N24 at Kilmoyler. Gardaí and emergency services responded to the crash at 10:40am.

The man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Tipperary University Hospital and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course, a garda spokesperson said.

“Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently conducting an examination of the scene and the road remains closed. Local diversions are in place.

“Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward,” a spokesperson said.
