Man taken to hospital with crush injuries in Waterford

The workplace accident happened this afternoon at a plant in the Waterford Industrial Estate.

A MAN HAS been taken to Waterford Regional Hospital with crush injuries after a work place accident this afternoon.

At approximately 3.15pm, an accident involving a man and cherry picker hoist occurred at the Rexam plant in Waterford Industrial Estate.

Rexam is a leading global consumer packaging group and beverage can maker.

A fire brigade and ambulance attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital with crush injuries, confirmed the gardaí.

The condition of the man is unknown.
