2. The head of the Kremlin-backed government in annexed Crimea has blamed Ukraine for a deadly drone strike, while Kyiv said a Russian attack had killed two people in the country’s southeast.

3. Donald Trump led tributes to Charlie Kirk at a huge stadium gathering in Arizona and said that Kirk’s murder had robbed America of “one of the brightest lights of our times”.
