Mostly dry, pleasant weekend in store with temperatures of up to 23 degrees forecast

IT’S SET TO be a dry, pleasant weekend in most parts of the country, with very little rain forecast.

Met Éireann says it expects to see a transition to more unsettled weather by Monday night, and the rest of next week will be changeable.

Today will be cloudy with a few isolated light showers around, mainly in the west and north. 

Temperatures will reach highs of 17 to 22 degrees.

Tonight, there’ll be some hill and coastal mist and fog in the southwest, west and northwest. It’ll continue to be mostly cloudy tonight, with just a few clear breaks likely further east.

Saturday is shaping up to be dry overall, though there’ll be a little light patchy rain, drizzle and mist for a time, followed by a few scattered showers, mainly for parts of the west and north again.

Despite some cloudiness, there’ll be bright or sunny spells, especially further east. Temperatures of 18 to 23 degrees will make for a seasonably warm day.

Saturday night will bring a mostly dry conditions with a lot of cloud, though with some clear breaks. However, there’ll be some drizzle and mist and a few isolated light showers around. Lowest temperatures will be 13 to 17 degrees in light southeasterly breezes.

Sunday is going to be another dry day, with temperatures to reach 22 degrees.

Sunday night will bring a few isolated light showers and possibly some drizzle and mist in the southwest and west.
