Motorcyclist (30s) dies in Enniskerry collision

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the crash, which happened yesterday morning.

A MOTORCYCLIST HAS died following a collision with a car in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, yesterday.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene of the crash, which happened on the R117 road which runs from Dublin to Wicklow at around 7.40am yesterday morning.

The driver of the motorcycle, a man aged in his 30s, was brought to St Vincent’s University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

He was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Gardaí said no other injuries have been reported.

Forensic Collision Investigators carried out a technical examination of the scene and the road has since reopened.

Gardaí ask that any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 7am and 8am on Wednesday 15 October to make this footage available to them.
