Motorcyclist in his 20s dies following single-vehicle collision in Co Waterford last night

The collision happened on the R675 at Ballinahilla.

A MOTORCYCLIST IN his 20s has died following a single-vehicle collision last night in Co Waterford.

The motorcycle collision occurred on the R675 at Ballinahilla, near Bunmahon, at around 11:45pm.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to the morgue at University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

The road remains closed this morning to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 11pm and midnight are asked to make this footage available.
