A SECTION OF the A1 motorway in North Yorkshire has been closed after an explosion was heard in the early hours of this morning.
Police say this is a pre-cautionary measure and there are no reports of any injuries.
Sky News reports that an army training facility is located nearby.
However, a spokesperson for the base was unable to provide any further details.
