Two men arrested over murder of Christopher Zambra

Zambra was shot up to eight times in an ambush in Drimnagh.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested by gardai investigating the murder of Christopher Zambra.

The 39-year-old was shot up to eight times in an ambush on the afternoon of May 4.

He was sitting in a parked car in front of his sister’s home at Cooley Road, Drimnagh, when he was attacked.

His body was found by emergency services in a front garden.

The two men – aged 27 and 40 – can be held for up to seven days.

They’re being held at Sundrive Road and Kevin Street Garda Stations.

Zambra was well known to gardaí and was cleared of murder last year but he was still at the centre of garda probes into a number of deaths in the west Dublin area.

The father-of-one was also a talented soccer player and a keen musician. On his website, he described himself as a singer songwriter.
