Murder investigation launched after man (42) dies from serious injuries in Lisburn

A woman, aged 38, and a man, aged 37, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

THE PSNI HAVE launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Lisburn this morning. 

The man, aged 42, was discovered with serious injuries at a property in the Wardsborough Road area of the city in the early hours of this morning.

Police attended the scene after the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service called for assistance.

The man received medical treatment at the scene and was then transferred to hospital. He died from his injuries this morning.

A woman, aged 38, and a man, aged 37, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody at this time.

Detective Inspector Jill Angus said the local community can expect to see an increased police presence in the Wardsborough area as officers conduct further enquiries.

“Although our investigation is at an early stage, we are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and to determine exactly what happened.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have information that could assist us, to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 29 15/09/25.”
