Multi-vehicle crash on N7 causing rush-hour delays in Dublin

Oh good…

Updated: 6.10pm

A MULTIPLE VEHICLE collision outbound on the the N7 between Avoca and the Poitín Stil in south Dublin is causing major delays this Friday rush-hour.

The incident is understood to have taken place near Junction 4 Rathcoole shortly after 5pm this evening, but it is not believed to have caused any serious injuries.

According to reports, traffic had been at a standstill in and around Saggart, Rathcoole and City West as commuters and travellers set off for the weekend.

The National Roads Authority has issued an update, however, to say that the incident has been moved to the hard shoulder, and there are reports that all three lanes of the N7 have been reopened from Junction 4 Rathcoole outbound.

According to an update from the Gardaí, the incident has been cleared, and traffic is moving once again although very slowly.
