85 new jobs coming to Dublin and Limerick
Two jobs announcements were made today.
TECHNOLOGY COMPANY CITRIX has announced that it will increase its Dublin workforce by 50 employees by the end of the year.
The positions include roles in sales, IT and technical support.
Grace O’Rourke Veitch, Citrix Ireland Country Manager, said that the company has been able to grow its business in Ireland and beyond “because of the fantastic staff we have here in Dublin”.
“The pool of highly skilled workers in the country has given us the confidence to continue to expand over the next four years as we develop technology to enable companies to work better in a dynamic and mobile world.”
Citrix, which also operates in other European countries as well as the Middle East and Africa, has recently invested €540,000 in its East Point facilities in Dublin.
Martin Shanahan, CEO at IDA Ireland, also welcomed the news.
He said that Citrix was “part of a cluster of mobile technology companies that have made Ireland an integral part of their global business”.
Limerick
Meanwhile, Filtertek Ireland – a medical device manufacturer – is set to create an additional 35 new jobs at their Newcastle West plant in Limerick.
This will bring the company’s number of employees in the area to almost 100.
Fine Gael TD for Limerick, Patrick O’Donovan, said that the announcement ” proves that the recovery is now beginning to take hold in regional areas”.
The new positions will include machine operators, technicians, engineers and production supervisors.
