The perfect song for sobbing or slow-dancing to (depending on where you were in the romance stakes), it was made extra sad by being about the break-up of vocalist Gwen Stefani’s seven-year relationship with bassist Tony Kanal.
In any case, it’s a 90s classic, and we still love it all these years later.
