One dead and two seriously injured in Cavan crash

A man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Stradone in Cavan overnight.

ONE MAN HAS died and two others are seriously injured following a two-car collision in Cavan overnight.

A man in his 20s who was the driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Stradone at approximately 12.30am.

The two injured men – the driver of the other car, who is in his 20s, and his passenger, who is in his late teens – were taken to Cavan General Hospital where they are being treated.

The road is currently closed to traffic to allow for a forensic investigation of the scene to be carried out.
