AFTER ZELENSKYY’S CAR-CRASH meeting with US President Donald Trump, there was a certain sense of unease that our own Taoiseach was to be in the same position just a matter of days later.

And, given the actions of the Trump Administration so far in office, there were calls to just call-off the traditional St Patrick’s Day trip to the United States completely.

It went ahead, and this evening culminates in the shamrock ceremony. Earlier this afternoon, the two world leaders met in the White House and answered questions from the media.
