Pedestrian killed in Meath collision

A man in his 20s was also injured in the collision and is being treated at Our Lady’s Hospital.

A MAN HAS died after being struck by a car in Trim, Co Meath.

The pedestrian, aged in his 40s, was hit by the car on Castle Street at approximately 12.50am this morning and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second man in his 20s was also struck by the car and has been taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan. The driver of the car was not injured in the incident.

The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.
