POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland have appealed for information after a police officer was hit in the head with a brick.
The incident happened at about 8.30pm yesterday in The Glen area of Crumlin, Co Antrim.
The officer was hit while police were attending a report of anti-social behaviour. She attended hospital for treatment to a head injury.
PSNI Chief Inspector John Allen said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have any information about this incident to contact police at Antrim on the non-emergency number 101.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
