Poll: Does a politician's personal life matter?

Or should the focus be on their policies?

DEIRDRE WADDING COULD become Ireland’s first pagan TD, but she’s hoping that the public will focus on her policies rather than her religious beliefs.

However, a politician’s personal life can sometimes influence voters, and who can get caught up what they get up to in their spare time.

But is it important?

This morning we’re asking: Does a politician’s personal life matter?

Poll Results:

Yes (4523)
No (4220)
I don't know (375)
