THE FIRST SET OF letters to householders who have not paid the €100 Household Charge are set to start arriving at homes around the country today.
A second letter will be sent at a later point to non-paying households warning them of the penalties of not paying, while a third will warn of court action if the payment hasn’t been made within a given length of time.
To date, just over 957,700 properties have been registered to pay the charge and a further 17,600 have registered for a waiver.
