Poll: How will you vote in the referendum on the EU Fiscal Compact treaty?

Six weeks to go. How will you vote on 31 May?

THE REFERENDUM ON the EU Fiscal Compact treaty is now exactly six weeks away with an Ipsos MRBI poll in today’s Irish Times indicating that around 40 per cent of people are still undecided.

The Fiscal Compact proposes tighter fiscal discipline among members of the European Union. While the government believes that a Yes vote will ensure economic stability Ireland and access to EU funding, the No side believes the treaty will enshrine austerity in Ireland for years to come.

You can read the treaty in layman’s terms here and here is more of what we will be voting for on 31 May and why.

Today, we want to know how will you vote in the referendum on the EU fiscal compact treaty?

Poll Results:

No, against ratification (1842)
Yes, in favour of ratification (973)
I don't know (386)
Won't vote (101)
