INDEPENDENT ÁRAS HOPEFUL Catherine Connolly went viral this week when she impressed the public with her football skills, specifically her keepie-uppies.
She was canvassing at Courtney Place Flats on Ballybough Road, Dublin city, on Monday when the 68-year-old wowed locals as she performed ‘keepie-uppies’ and played basketball with children.
Connolly, who has the backing of a coalition of left-leaning parties, was joined for the canvas by a number of party leaders, including Sinn Féin’s Mary Lou McDonald, Labour’s Ivana Bacik and the Social Democrats’ Holly Cairns.
A video shared by Sinn Féin of the keepie-uppies in question has (thus far) amassed over 186,000 likes and 1.9m views on TikTok.
So now we’re wondering: How many keepie-uppies can you do?
