POPE FRANCIS IS considering a visit to Ireland, after an invitation from Irish Catholic bishops.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny is set to meet the Pope at the Vatican next week and he said he will pledge “government support” for such a visit. Pope John Paul II’s 1979 trip to Ireland was the first ever papal visit to the country and over 2.5 million people attended events while he was here.
So, we want to know: Would you welcome the Pope’s visit to Ireland?
