TODAY MARKS SAFER Internet Day, an event designed to strengthen parents understanding of their childrens’ internet usage.
Reports launched to mark the day indicate that young people have received sexual messages, been bullied and seen harmful content online.
Around 40 per cent of 11 to 12 year-olds have social networking profiles, with that figure rising to 90 per cent for 15 to 16 year-olds.
But, should children be allowed near these sites? Do they add to the problems?
