Gardaí say cause of teenager's death after night out undetermined

Further tests have been carried out.

A POST MORTEM on a girl who died after becoming ill while on a night out in Letterkenny has been unable to determine a cause of death.

Tory Johnson was rushed to hospital after having a seizure on Tuesday night, but was later pronounced dead.

The 17-year-old was due to do her Leaving Cert next year.

A spokesperson for gardaí said they are now awaiting the results of toxicology tests.

Her funeral is due to take place on Sunday.

Local priest Father Eamonn Kelly told Highland Radio that the teenager” was such a lovely bubbly girl that her death just brings devastation”.

Local gardaí are looking to hear from anyone who met Tory on the night she fell ill, particularly in the Voodoo nightclub. They also want to hear from anyone who may have photos of video footage that could assist the investigation.

Letterkenny Garda Station can be contacted at 074 916 7100.
