How did your constituency vote? Here are the full results of the presidential election

How did Catherine Connolly and Heather Humphreys do in your constituency? And what about the spoiled votes?

THE RESULTS ARE in – so how has your constituency voted?

The election was a landslide for Catherine Connolly, who was elected with just over 914,000 votes, giving her 63.3% of the total valid poll.

She got the highest number of first preference votes in 42 out of the 43 constituencies, with Cavan-Monaghan the only outlier.

While Heather Humphreys trailed in second place with 29.5% of the votes – 424,000 first preference votes – the big story of the day was the huge number of spoiled votes

Just under 13% of votes were spoiled, the highest percentage in any Irish election. The previous record was 4.4% in 1945.
