4 of a Kind: Homes with mature gardens full of beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers

Make your mark on an already established garden.

FINDING A HOME with a garden that’s well-established can be a dream for many – especially if they don’t fancy spending the time or patience to prepare the soil and plant the seeds on a blank canvas. This week, we’ve found four impressive homes across the country with fabulous gardens that are well in the swing of things. All you’ll need to bring are your tools to keep up the maintenance.

Dunmore East, Co Waterford – €620,000

1 Marian Terrace is a pretty four-bed home that spans 135 m². Semi-detached, the house has a well-established garden full of plants, shrubs and trees. It also has a nice entertaining area to take it all in. The rooms inside comprise four double bedrooms, two lounges and a big kitchen ideal for having guests over. From the first floor, you can take in the views of the sea, Hook Head and the woodland.

Lawlor’s Strand is mere minutes away by foot, as is Councilor’s Beach, so this place is ideal for the water sports lover who wants to be less reliant on the car. Seagull Bakery, a well known artisan spot in the area is at the end of the row while the Spinnaker Bar and Restaurant, The Cliff and The Strand Inn are all close by, too.
