IN RESPONSE TO a series of parliamentary questions from Fianna Fáil spokesperson on public expenditure and reform Seán Fleming, lists of allowances available to some public servants have been made available.
The figures cover those from every department and apply to workers both at home and abroad.
Each department has emphasised that allowances are currently the subject of review by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, while some have pointed out that these allowances relate only to a small number of public employees, usually the upper echelons of the civil service.
