SUMMER IS UPON us, the solstice has been and gone, and what have you to show for it? Well?
Whatever the answer, you’re probably in need of a break. Sometimes it’s hard to justify heading off for a night or two of indulgent pampering. Luckily for you, we’re masters at justification so here are seven reasons why you deserve a break this month.
Like you needed an excuse…
1. The summer hasn’t really taken off at all
June has been distinctly October-like so far, and it’s not looking to get much better this month according to the weather forecasts. So, to help you power through to summer a mini-break is necessary. Doctor’s orders.
2. There’s no bank holiday till August
You are definitely entitled to take a little holiday before it rolls around. For your sanity.
3. You get two weekends in one week
And who could argue with that? You do you.
4. It can be your good deed for the year
Whether it’s your significant other or your mammy, if you bring someone with you on your trip you know you’ve scored up brownie points for the year – if not till the end of time. Win win.
5. You’ll get a little exercise in… sort of
It might only be heading from the restaurant to the spa and and then dropping up to your room for a nap, but hey – all movement counts as exercise. And if anyone tells you otherwise… well, you’ll be asleep, so you won’t know.
6. You’ll sleep like a baby
Especially if you leave the babies at home. But whether you have children or not, there’s nothing as quiet and dark as a hotel room. The only problem will be trying to get up in time for breakfast in the morning – but isn’t that what room service is for?
7. You just deserve it
You know it. We know it. You don’t need a reason. Go on – treat yo’self.
Here’s a chance to win an overnight stay for two at Powerscourt Hotel, Resort and Spa with dinner, breakfast and a 50 minute ESPA treatment for each guest. Good luck.
