Two released without charge in Donaghmede stabbing investigation

Both men were arrested yesterday in connection with the death of 22-year-old Shane O’Connor.

TWO MEN ARRESTED in connection with the stabbing of a 22-year-old outside his home in Dublin last week have been released without charge.

One of the men had been arrested on Friday morning while the second was detained by Gardaí on Friday night. Both were being questioned at Coolock Garda Station in connection with the killing.

Shane O’Connor was found lying outside his home on St Donagh’s Road in Donaghmede on Dublin’s northside just after 7am last Monday morning. He was brought to Beaumont Hospital but died a short time later from his injuries.

The Garda investigation into the killing is continuing.
