Remote-controlled rotating sex toy recalled due to fault that could cause parts to detach

ComReg was alerted to the issue and has also issued a recall notice on its website.

A REMOTE-CONTROLLED sex toy has been recalled due to a fault that could cause parts to detach.

The rotating dildo is from Ann Summers, a lingerie and sex toy shop, which has stores in Dublin, Cork and the UK.

The product was available for sale as recently as March 2026.

ComReg was alerted to the fault and has issued a recall notice on its website.

“The product presents a risk of injuries as it is possible for parts to detach during use,” it said.

In a customer notice, Ann Summers said it identified “a potential fault within the product’s internal mechanism”.

“As a precaution, and in line with our commitment to customer safety, we have made the decision to recall the item,” it said.

Customers who bought the sex toy can get a full refund even if they don’t have proof of purchase.

Alternatively, customers can exchange the product for something else.

Moreover, the store has offered a 20% discount for affected customers for their next purchase.
