Revenue seizes 8kg of cannabis at Rosslare

A man in his 20s has been arrested.

OFFICERS FROM REVENUE’S Customs Service seized about 8kgs of herbal cannabis from Rosslare Europort yesterday.

The drugs, with a street value of €96,000, were concealed in a vehicle disembarking a ferry that had arrived from France.

The scanner and a Customs drugs detection dog were employed in the search of the vehicle on foot of routine profiling.

A Lithuanian national in his 20s has been arrested. He is being detained at Wexford Garda Station.
