seal rescue

Galway gardaí saved a stranded seal last night

Gardai got the seal to a local vet who cared for him overnight.

THIS BABY SEAL was rescued by gardaí in Galway yesterday.

He was left stranded at Weightman’s Pier at Murrough.

Gardaí say, “He was in poor condition and would not have made it through the night.”

They believe the seal is about four weeks old.

Gardaí managed to get him to a local vet who cared for him overnight.

The seal rescue collected him this morning.

Gardaí shared the story on its Facebook page saying, “Baby Seal strikes out for Independence on July 4.”
