The flight was headed to Fort Lauderdale.

A MAN WAS arrested after the flight he was on had to be diverted to Shannon airport over an incident.

Gardaí confirmed that the man, aged 28, was arrested at the airport today.

He is expected to appear in court tomorrow.

The Norwegian airlines fight from London to Fort Lauderdale was diverted over the onboard incident.

The man was taken to Shannon garda station after his arrest.
