How long do you normally shower for?

Uisce Éireann has said that water should be conserved for “essential use only”.

IT’S STILL HOT and a hosepipe ban is in place to help conserve our water.

The ban, which came into effect on Thursday, will last for six weeks and apply to Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, South Tipperary and coastal areas in Wexford.

Uisce Éireann told The Journal last week that water should be conserved for “essential use only”. This involves restricting the use of hoses for washing cars, filling pools, or other ornamental use of water.

Water use for health and hygiene purposes is not restricted, but Uisce Éireann are appealing to people across the country to reduce non-essential water use.

In light of this, we’re asking you: how long do you normally shower for?

Poll Results:

Between five and 10 minutes - I like to have a good scrub  (935)
Two minutes or less - I'm a rinser, I'm in and out (342)
Over 10 minutes - shower is my escape (144)
Around 20 minutes, otherwise it's not a proper shower (61)
I have no clue, but probably a very long time? (23)
