ST PATRICK’S DAY celebrations took place right across the country today, featuring everything from Jessie Buckley banners to the return of the St Patrick statue (you know the one).
There was plenty of green on display as people came together to honour our patron saint and celebrate Irish culture.
Here’s how people across Ireland marked the occasion.

Remember the giant St Patrick statue that was above The Temple Bar for less than 24 hours? While we had heard that it had a makeover, what we didn’t know was that it would be making an appearance in the Maynooth parade.
The spectacle then made its way over to Celbridge, then Leixlip.
Killarney had even more to celebrate after Jessie Buckley’s historic Oscar win this week – and the local pride was on full display.
