While today will bring a few sunny spells to Munster, overall there will be a good deal of cloud with some showers.

The showers will merge into longer spells of rain for a time with some heavy falls alongside thunderstorms likely, especially over the south and southwest.

Temperatures will reach highs of 19 to 21 degrees in light to moderate easterly breezes.

Further showers are expected tonight, some of which will be heavy or thundery.

The showers easing off later with some mist and fog patches forming.
