Student dies after falling from a height at UCC

The tragic incident happened in the Kane Science Building this afternoon.

A UCC STUDENT has died after a fall at the university campus this afternoon.

The man who was in his 20s died after a falling a number of storeys in the Kane Science Building.

The incident is believed to have happened at lunchtime this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the student was taken to Cork University Hospital but died from his injuries.

Students at the university are being offered support by the UCC Students’ Union following the incident.
