THREE MORE MEN have been arrested in London as part of ongoing terrorism investigations.
This brings the number of recent arrests to eight.
The Metropolitan Police said that officers taking part in the ongoing investigation into the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism arrested three further men yesterday.
All three – aged 24 [F], 21 [G] and 25 [H] – were arrested “on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism”.
“All three were arrested in central London and are at present in custody,” said police.
On Wednesday 8 October, a warrant of further detention was granted by a magistrates’ court for the five men who were arrested on Tuesday 7 October 21 [A], 21 [B], 20 [C], 20 [D], and 20 [E].
Police said that while [B] and [D] were released from custody, [A], [C] and [E] remain in custody at a Central London police stations.
A search took place at a business address in west London, and there are ongoing searches at a further four residential addresses in north west London.
