EVERY WEEKDAY EVENING, TheJournal.ie brings you the five stories you need to know before you head out the door…

1. #FREE DOCTORS: Junior Minister Roisin Shortall has announced that the rollout of free GP care has begun. The first phase will extend access to those with illnesses or disabilities listed under new legislation.

2. #TRAGEDY: A two-year-old boy has died following a fall from an apartment window in Inchicore, Dublin today.

3. #REFERENDUM: Sinn Féin has been accused of using selective quotes from prominent economists on a ‘No’ vote fiscal referendum pamphlet – two of those economists are actually in favour of a ‘Yes’ vote. See the video of Gerry Adams defending the use of the quotes this afternoon.

4. #RIP: One of Ireland’s most important artists, Louis le Brocquy, has passed away today at the age of 95.

5. #MADELEINE: British police have said that there is a possibility that missing girl Madeleine McCann is still alive – and have released a new time-progression image of what she might look like 5 years after her disappearance.
