1. #BIN LADEN: The death of Osama bin Laden at a compound in Pakistan has raised questions over any role played by Pakistani authorities in potentially helping him hide out, the AP reports. Islamabad has denied knowledge of bin Laden’s presence and was not involved in the US attack which killed Bin Laden.

2. #FIRES: Fire service chiefs have warned that gorse fires which have been burning since the weekend could continue further into this week, as weather conditions continue to hinder efforts to stamp out the flames. Fires have been burning in Counties Donegal, Sligo, Offaly, Galway, Monaghan and Mayo, as well as in the Mourne mountain area of Northern Ireland.

3. #MISCONDUCT: Three nurses have been struck off the Nursing Board register after a 2005 nursing home incident in which a partially clothed male nurse had inappropriate contact with a female patient, according to the Examiner.

4.#BIN LADEN: News of bin Laden’s death broke late in the US on Sunday night, but that didn’t stop North American newspapers from scrapping their original front pages to cover the al-Qaeda’s leader’s demise. The White House has released images of President Obama and his senior advisers watching the raid that killed bin Laden.

5. #MARKETS: Osama Bin Laden’s death at the weekend prompted a surge in Wall Street trading as investors perceived his death as a contribution towards a safer world and help decrease tension in the Middle East, the Atlantic reports.

6. #SCREEN STAR: The Hollywood career of Irish-born actor Peter O’Toole has been celebrated by adding the star’s handprints, footprints and signature to the cement paving outside the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in LA.

7. #SONY: Just a day after Sony announced it had introduced new security measures to prevent future hacks of its online system, the company has announced a second major security breach in which the personal details of another 25 million users may have been stolen, Reuters reports.

8. #ARGENTINA: Commuters in Argentina who became frustrated over delays to their journey turned on the trains, setting fire to at least three of them and raiding the ticket booths at two stations. The Buenos Aires Herald reports that three people have been arrested.

9. #HUMAN CHEESE: We heard about the breast milk ice cream which was recently confiscated from a London restaurant over health fears. Now, an artist in New York has been offering cheese made from breast milk.  Three varieties were made available to the public, according to Fox News – West Side Funk, Midtown Smoke and Wisconsin Chew.
