A THIRD MAN has been arrested in Co Laois as part of an investigation into cross-border terrorism.
The man, who is aged in his 30s, was arrested this afternoon.
He is currently detained at a garda station in the Midlands under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
A garda spokesperson said the investigation continues to be led by An Garda Síochána’s Special Detective Unit.
Two men have already been charged in connection with the investigation.
They were arrested last week after gardaí stopped a vehicle in Co Laois and seized a number of items yesterday.
