THREE TRAIN CARRIAGES were damaged with graffiti while parked at Athlone Train Station in the early hours of Saturday morning, gardaí said.

The criminal damage occurred between 4am and 6am.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to the incident to contact them, and said they are interested in speaking with anyone who “may have seen anything unusual during this time in Athlone”.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Athlone Garda Station on 090 649 2600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
