‘The worst of all time’: Trump says new Time magazine cover 'disappeared' his hair

Time magazine’s latest cover story commends Trump’s triumph in brokering the ceasefire and captive exchange.

US PRESIDENT DONALD Trump has expressed his disappointment at the “super bad” picture of him on Time magazine’s cover.

“Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time”, the 79-year-old wrote on Truth Social.

The American news magazine’s 10 November cover commended Trump’s “triumph” in brokering the ceasefire and captive exchange. It featured a large photo of the president taken from below with the sun behind his head.

“They “disappeared” my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!” Trump said.

He said he has never liked taking pictures from “underneath angles”, but this picture in particular is “super bad” and deserves to be called out.

“What are they doing, and why?” he asked.

Sharing the cover on X, the magazine said: “The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been freed under the first phase of Donald Trump’s peace plan, alongside a Palestinian prisoner release.”

“The deal may become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term, and it could mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East”.

Many viewers questioned the “unflattering” photo choice, while several others poked fun at the shot. “I could have taken a better picture with my flip phone,” one X user said.

The director of information at Russia’s ministry of foreign affairs Maria Zakharova condemned the cover.

“Only sick people, people obsessed with malice and hatred –perhaps even perverts – could have chosen such a photo”, she wrote on Telegram.

However, other commenters believe the angle and lighting of the photo make it the most “visually powerful cover since 2016″.

One X user said: “The image is shot from below and is clean, sky-dominant, presidential. No American flag. No Capitol. No chaos. Just posture, light, and title.”
