TWO PEOPLE HAVE been confirmed dead following the overnight tsunamis in the Pacific Ocean triggered by the series of earthquakes off the east coast of Japan. One person was killed in Indonesia after they were swept away when the tsunami reached the Papua province, as well as leaving 19 families homeless, while in California a 25-year-old man was killed when he was swept into the ocean while taking photographs of the waves.
