Two men arrested following six searches in the Dundalk area

A garda spokesperson said the arrests are not directly related to the murder investigation into the death of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.

GARDAÍ ARRESTED TWO men today following the searches of six locations in the Dundalk area of Co. Louth.

In an operation carried out in the early hours of this morning, Gardaí, targeting criminal and subversive activity in the Dundalk area, conducted searches at various properties.

As part of the operation two men, one in his 30s and one in his 70s, have been arrested.

The men are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Drogheda Garda station.

A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that the arrests are not directly related to the murder investigation into the death of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
