Appeal for witnesses after unconscious man found in Cork

The man is currently in critical condition at Cork University Hospital.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses following the discovery of an unconscious man at St Patrick’s Quay in Cork City on Thursday 3 October.

The 36-year-old man was found at 10pm “in a collapsed state” and taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he is currently in a critical condition. He is understood to have sustained facial injuries.

It is believed that the man may have fallen and gardaí are eager for witnesses to come forward so they can rule out any foul-play in the incident.

They are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the St Patrick’s Quay area between 9pm and 10.30pm on 3 October 2013 to contact Mayfield Garda Station 021 4558510 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
